This
position
is responsible for providing administrative decision-making, leadership and strategic planning including the efficient and productive use of personnel, material and financial resources for the Central Sterile Processing department at the organization Medical Center. The incumbent is also responsible for the efficient and purposeful integration of
services
with other areas and emerging delivery systems. Manages ongoing analysis, development and implementation of methods and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of services and functions. The incumbent will direct business efforts supporting sterile processing services for users and the organizational strategy of the organization Medical Center. The position will determine the capital requirements and cash flow requirements and develops appropriate business plans. This position has supervisory responsibility and reports to the Director Surgical Services.QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Requires appropriate credentialing (e.g., CRCST; CHMMC;FCS;
Requires experience in a health care discipline or related field with working knowledge of business applications.
Requires knowledge of state and national regulatory agency guidelines.
Requires familiarity with health care reimbursement environment.
Requires ability to lead quality improvement initiatives.
Requires ability to plan and manage the utilization of resources.
Requires ability to facilitate and lead work groups.
Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
Requires ability to communicate sensitive issues with all levels of associates/management.
Requires strong customer service skills.
Requires ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships.
Requires ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
Requires a high level of interpersonal; problem-solving and analytical skills;Requires extensive perioperative;and sterile processing experience;which is typically gained through five to seven years of progressive service.
