5B is a 32 bed med-surg unit with a concentration on medical patients with some surgical overflow. Average patient is around 75 but be as young at 18. Patient Ratio:

Chronis health issues such as COPD, uncontrolled diabetes, sickle cell, kidney failure, etc. Some acute issues such as pneumonia, cellulitis, UTI, stroke.
