OPENLANE is hiring a Systems Engineer on the OPENLANE Network Team which is directly responsible for rapid design, testing, deployment, and support of Routing, Switching, and Voice technologies for OPENLANE employees and customers.

Key Focus Areas Consult with business stakeholders on technology best practices that align with corporate goals that help OPENLANE succeed.
Deliver business value by engineering new features in key product areas Network Routing, Switching and Security.
Endpoint security as it pertains to network edge technologies.
SDWan design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Scripting and Automation processes to help expedite daily operations or large-scale migrations.
Documentation of systems, topologies, and processes to help facilitate transparency between teams and vendors.
Delivering services via various cloud-based technologies.
Initiatives that include technology refreshes, new locations, acquisitions, or deploying net new technologies across the enterprise Integrating various technology platforms to promote collaboration between various business units.
Design highly reliable solutions built to scale.
Responsibilities:
Work with the product team to break down prioritized features into deliverables.
Continuously develop and improve features that produce value and reduce technical debt.
Automation for routine tasks through scripting or software development.
Develop technical and design documentation.
Promote knowledge sharing across your peers and product teams.
Provide escalation for issues and bugs that arise.
Partner with other OPENLANE IT and Business teams.
Participate in regular on-call rotation.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
3-5 Years of routing and switching to include provisioning and implementing hardware at various remote locations.
3-5 Years of various routing/switching standards (Examples:
BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree).
3-5 Years of firewall configuration and troubleshooting knowledge.
1-3 Years of Meraki platform for wireless and switching.
Knowledge of VoIP and SIP fundamentals for troubleshooting and assisting in daily operations of real time voice communications desired.
Multiple vendors and technology knowledge is a plus (Examples:
Cisco, Aruba, Firepower, SDWan, home based solutions) desired.
Familiarity with one or more common languages is a plus (Examples:
Python, PowerShell, JavaScript) desired.
Familiarity with cloud-based conferencing solutions like Zoom or WebEx desired.
Other
Qualifications:
Experience with Agile and continuous delivery framework preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders, as well as relay complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience, including senior leadership.
Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
Managing vendor communications ranging from network communication issues to hardware selection for review and procurement.
Manage tasks and stories with minimal oversight.
Must have a go do attitude to keep pace with business needs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
