OPENLANE is hiring a manager for our Network Engineering Team which is directly responsible for rapid design, testing, deployment, and support of network and security infrastructure supporting OPENLANE operations. You will define system solutions, mentor employees, lead development teams, and share the responsibility for the technical direction for OPENLANE Network and Security Services. You will play an essential role in allowing our employees and systems ability to connect and protect. You will work closely with Program & Product Management, and many other teams within OPENLANE to ensure high availability and reliable application delivery over public and private networks.

  • Guide your team to implement the technical direction. Collaboratively work with management, product managers, and your team to grow and evolve the technical direction.

  • Drive, create, and improve operational excellence, quality, security and privacy initiatives within your team and the entire engineering organization using devops best practices.

  • Support an ambitious group of engineers in their career goals. Work with our people operation leadership to maintain our high performance and high morale.

  • Care about agility as much as you care about scalability and availability. Keep projects short and tightly scoped.

  • Promote and coach Infrastructure as code mindset and Network DevOps practices.

  • Understand business context to make decisions within and across groups.

  • Evaluate employee performance, set expectations and goals for team and individual team members, recruit and train team members.


Here are some of the things this team has accomplished recently.


  • Migrated all core infrastructure, application hosting, security platforms and core connectivity from legacy data centers to cloud providers.

  • Supported Network and Security projects related to acquisition and divestiture

  • Started our Network DevOps journey by implementing Net Box and automating IP address management

  • Evaluating Zero Trust principles and security strategies

  • Automation strategy for network delivery and configuration standardization

  • Hardware Refresh for LAN switching platforms


You should have the following:


  • Network Engineering Team Management experience is a requirement. Most management experience will be within some type of agile environment. Experience with SaaS Product development is a plus.

  • You will need to be hands-on technically, comfortable reviewing and writing code.

  • Great people are effective and learn what we use quickly. Our ideal is for every team to be comfortable working across the full stack, delivering new features and capabilities from start to finish.

  • Understanding Network and Security design patterns best practices.

  • Experience building large scale, high-performing, enterprise systems.

  • Experience with agile development methodologies.

  • Experience with devops concepts (i.e. CI/CD, automated testing, automated deployment, monitoring, etc.).

  • Collaborative approach to work, reaching out across teams and groups to get things done.

  • Able to prioritize, be flexible and handle multiple projects with varying deadlines in a multi-task environment.

  • Highly organized and has a superior attention to detail.


It would be great if you had these:


  • Experience with public cloud infrastructure concepts including AWS Cloud WAN, Transit Gateway, VPN, VPC networking and security.

  • Familiarity with Zero Trust security architectures.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
