This position exists to develop, control and implement the child life therapy activities and programming for the individual pediatric units. The position is responsible for caring out a comprehensive therapeutic program based on play, play therapy and counseling techniques. These techniques are aimed at meeting the emotional, social and developmental needs of the pediatric unit. The incumbent conducts evaluations, records evaluations in patients'' medical records and consults with physicians and staff. This position is also responsible for out patient caseloads where patients are counseled and therapeutic intervention area developed and implemented. This position reports to the Director, Pediatric and Emergency Services.QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Requires certification or eligibility for certification as a Child Life Specialist.
Requires a Bachelor degree in Child Development; Therapeutic Recreation; Social Work or related fields.
Requires experience in Child Life; Psychology; Child Development or a related field.
Requires experience working with hospitalized children or children in another setting; as well as counseling experience with individuals and groups.
Requires presentations on therapeutic topics to in-house groups and community agencies.
Requires strong written and interpersonal skills.
Requires the ability to make independent judgments; recommendations and implementing recommendations on therapeutic interventions in counseling for inpatient and outpatient cases.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
