Job Details: This position exists to perform laboratory tests on patient specimens and to provide information for the diagnosis, treatment or prevention of diseases. Maintains records of performance and utilizes independent judgment to generate acceptable test results within quality control standards. The incumbent may participate in research and development activities. May act as a key resource person for staff inside and outside of the department. Instructs students, laboratory and non-laboratory staff on laboratory procedures and techniques. Performs all tasks according to standard operating procedures. May work on the development and modification of procedures and assumes additional responsibilities as outlined by management or the laboratory director.QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Requires one of the following:
1) Bachelor's Degree in a clinical laboratory science. Appropriate certification by ASCP, AMT, NCA or equivalent is required. Certification must be attained and provided within one year from the date of hire.
2) Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical or biological science from an accredited institution and a minimum of two years experience in a high complexity testing laboratory.
Appropriate certification by ASCP, AMT, NCA or equivalent is required.
3) Individuals with a Master's Degree or Doctorate Degree in a chemical, physical or biological science from an accredited institution qualify for this position with lesser experience.
4) Candidate could possibly qualify by a set of regulations effective on or before February 28, 1992.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
