Summary: Reporting to the Manager, Software Methods and Compliance collaborate with IT development teams to accurately version, label, and build software applications for both maintenance and new development projects. The Senior SCM Analyst will provide direction and mentoring to developers regarding access to source code, parallel development practices, workspace management, and the source code tool set. Additional responsibilities include management of source code security, the development and/or maintenance of build automation software and administration of the source control system.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Ensure that SCM policy and processes are followed through the software promotion, build, and deployment cycle.

2. Understand and practice the source code management methodology and verify software application and database version control.

3. Understand, use and support the build automation software that compiles, packages and queues finished applications for deployment to QA, pre-production and production environments.

4. Assure that the contents of each build are limited to changes authorized through the software change management system in accordance with enterprise Sarbanes-Oxley controls.

5. Work directly with new development projects and technologies to define and implement the software promotion, build and deployment process appropriate to the target runtime platform.

6. Support, train and mentor software development teams through the software configuration management process, including tool and process knowledge transfer.

7. Administer, support, and maintain the source control system, performing routine maintenance and vendor upgrades as necessary.

8. Practice and promote teamwork at all times. Set a good personal example of positive attitude and superior performance.

9. Make sure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention.

10. Be familiar with procedures for handling all aspects of customer complaints and disputes and resolve any customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner. Advise the Manager of serious complaints or incidents.

11. Ensure proper follow-through on all directives, bulletins and schedules from the Corporate Office and IT Management. . Maintain a good flow of communication within the IT Department and across all customers of the SCM Team.

12. Monitor all area related conditions, property and equipment within corporate standards for cleanliness, proper maintenance and safety. Advise Maintenance of all breakdowns and maintenance immediately

13. Make sure all area conditions do not threaten employee safety. Respond to and follow proper procedures on employee accidents, injuries, and loss or damage to any property. Report all incidents immediately. Practice and instruct all employees in proper loss prevention and reaction procedures.


Educational Requirements and
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in computer technology or other IT related discipline.
At least five (5) years direct experience in software development related roles and a minimum of three (3) years in a software configuration management role.
Experience with ClearCase or other Enterprise-level source code management system and build automation programming with Perl, Ant, NAnt, PowerGen, etc., required.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and documentation skills are a must. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
