Position Summary
Our Gourmet Chef is our go-to person for making sure our food preparation, guest service, quality standards, and merchandising are the best they can be. In addition to providing unparalleled guest service and supporting the Prepared Foods team, you'll be the one we look to make sure that our offerings and services promote growth and success for the store. This role is for a mover and a shaker in the foodie world!

Job Responsibilities
Maintain safety as the top priority in all aspects of our work, for our Team Members, guests, and products.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment by ensuring that all Food Safety, Food Holding, Temperature, and OSHA standards are met.
In conjunction with the Team Leader, manage inventories weekly. Prepare food ingredients, and products that allow for efficient management of the business. Assist Team Leader with monthly inventory.
Meet or exceed budgeted guidelines for food cost percentage. Minimize product waste and ensure that production is followed strictly on a day-to-day basis.
Maintain accurate department records to ensure documentation of activities is readily available.
Participate in the preparation and production of catering orders.
Establish a positive work environment that enables the Team Members to grow creatively and professionally, while maintaining a high level of morale.
Monitor adherence to Company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the Company requirements are met.
Follow strict recipe and merchandising guidelines to ensure that quality is consistent and adherent to company standards.
Participate in training classes for new and existing programs, and attend in-store team meetings and/or regional department manager meetings as needed.
Maintain awareness of competitive activity and new trends in the business and communicate ideas for improvement to the Team Leader.

Associates Degree Culinary Degree or Equivalent (1 year hands on Cooking and 3-5 years in cooking environment
